Who is the course for?
This course is ideal for anyone who carries out manual handling activities at work and is tailored to your work.
A 6 hour 'Manual handling – Practice and principles' (Level 2) is also available which covers subjects
in more detail and is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
A 6-hour 'Moving and Handling People' course is available if your role involves assisting or moving people.

How is the course assessed?
A multiple choice assessment paper will be given at the end of the session. Successful candidates gaining 10 correct answers out of 15 will be
awarded a Manual Handling certificate.
The assessment can take place orally for those who have difficulties reading or writing.
